5 Great Wines for Summer and Fall:
1. Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon- An approachable
blend with aromas of rich, dark fruit and baking spices on the nose yielding to
fresh plum, blackberry, violet, dried fig, vanilla bean and Chinese five-spice.
The wine is juicy with plum and blackberry flavors, prominently layered with
smoky and sappy maple oak, roasted almonds and hazelnuts. Our Josh Cellars
Cabernet finishes long with fine, firm tannins.
2. Josh Cellars Sauvignon Blanc- Bright aromas of lime
and citrus are the core of our Josh Cellars Sauvignon Blanc, with layers of
white flower nectar, peach, and tropical melon. The palate of the wine is fresh
and alive with clean fruit flavors and a perfectly balanced finish.
3. Joseph Carr Cabernet Sauvignon- In Napa, the hillside
vineyards have thinner, less fertile soils which produces smaller berries with
more intense flavors. The yields are also much lower. Wines produced from
mountainside vineyards tend to be characterized by deep inky colors and strong
berry aromas. Cabernets produced here are also savory, peppery and smoky.
4. Joseph Carr Chardonnay- Sonoma Coast wines often have
more tannin, dry fruit as opposed to juicy fruit characteristics, medium-to-high
acidity and good to extraordinary length.
5. Gascon Malbec- Opens with intense aromas of
blackberry, plum and a hint of mocha. Dark fruit flavors intertwine with notes
of spice, licorice and chocolate to create a magnificent, full-bodied Malbec.
Round tannins and a plush mouthfeel lead the way to a long, velvety finish.
